Nature forms the point of departure for my artistic practice. Working outdoors, I am particularly interested in the shifting qualities of light, atmosphere, and color, and in how they shape our perception of the landscape. Rather than documenting the visible world, my work seeks to condense the essence of a fleeting moment through painting. Through direct observation and an open, gestural visual language, the resulting works invite the viewer to experience nature as a dynamic and ever-changing field of perception.
